Definitely not arguing that. Can't attest to AAU - they didn't have AAU that deep in the sticks where I'm from. Like I said before, it's a parently/child decision that I can't begin to comment on how to make it. From a coaching standpoint, I completely understand not wanting kids to play in other leagues/sports etc.

As a coach you go into a season with a plan. Usually involves a couple key players. Lets say Player A decides to just play his/her inseason sport. Player B decides to play in a fall league and injures an ankle - taking him away from his inseason sport. Kind of letting the team, coach, school etc down no?

But again - it's up to the parents/kids I think.

I agree the inseason sport should take precedence during that season.

BTW- I didn't mean to take away your "dashingness" from you in your smidgen older stage. I'm sure today's Asst is just as dashing as yesterday's Asst.

but of course....albeit with about 30 lbs more "muscle".

Yeah, what is the big deal with gaining a few pounds as we get older. Muscle weighs more than the other "stuff" anyway.
