Central beat Dover 70 - 55.
Here is the link to the game on Fosters and they actually have an old school box score with the article.

Clancy, you might think Exeter is the favorite in the non-Manchester bracket, but I think Lebanon will have a strong showing and could possibly get to the championship game. If Exeter and Lebanon meet in the semis, that should be a good one. The other game that is intriguing is the Memorial - West game. There will be a lot of up and down play with speed and athleticism galore. As always, if the West Bigs don't do damage in the paint then the Crusaders will advance to the semis.

Re: Boy's 2015 QCIBT at Memorial High School
It's official now. Bedford is the #1 Jekyll & Hyde team in D1. Beat Lond by 3 after being up by 22 at half, lose to Mack and score 26 and then against one of the top teams in D2 they win by 16. There's a lot of season left for hoop fans to look at the results of Bedford games and scratch their heads
I saw the 2nd half and OT of the thrilling Memorial - West game. West was in control heading into the 2nd half and Memorial clamped down on defense. Once Memorial made the comeback towards the end of the 3rd quarter the next 12 minutes were back and forth athletic finishes and big 3 pointers. Scott, Lubin, Gabir and Carrier came up big for Memorial to lead the Crusaders to the nice come back win. West remains and will remain a head scratching team. They will get their share of wins during the course of the D2 season, but if you ask me if they will be a final four team........ ummmm not really sure. Unless they have a couple of players get their hands dirtier on the court doing the things that aren't splashy, but help contribute to team victories, then the jury will still be out as to whether the Blue Knights are in Durham next March.
Memorial is an intriguing team. They don't have great size, but their overall team athleticism allows them to compete in the paint and on the glass. They're not a great shooting team, but can hit enough to keep a team honest. They can spend a couple of minutes doing all the right things and then make a series of ill advised decisions that make you scratch your head. I think in the general Crusader landscape they will be a team that you have to watch out for on any given night, but will still make you wonder how they lost to this team by 15 when they beat that team by 10 the game before. Consistency will be an ongoing challenge for the Crusaders in 2016.

Re: Boy's 2015 QCIBT at Memorial High School
Central beat Memorial 61 to 51.
Memorial had a 25 to 14 lead a couple of minutes into the 2nd quarter and Central outscored the Crusaders 47 to 26 the rest of the way to secure a spot in the championship against Exeter. From a basketball purity standpoint this game was no where near what the Memorial - West quarterfinal game was. There were a lot of turnovers, too many ill advised decisions and long stretches of rough basketball.
The Blue Hawk's average winning margin in their 4 games this season is rather large. It should be a good match up for the title game. Both teams don't have great size and like to hoist the 3 ball.

Re: Boy's 2015 QCIBT at Memorial High School
Exeter was up by 30 on Central when I left the gym with about 3 minutes left in the game. When was the last time a Central basketball team lost a game by 30 points?
The Blue Hawks are legit. They have what could be the best back court in D1 with Holmes and Morissette. They control the tempo for Exeter and make their mates better with their handle, passing and overall court vision. Both of them are physical and can play against any type of a guard. They were very impressive. 6'4 junior Stephen Natola was impressive also for Exeter. He gives them good paint presence and can knock down the 3 ball. This is the best Exeter team in years.
It's not even January and me thinks the NH Sports Page will have to re-think their pre - season rankings. They had North 9th and Exeter 10th. Time to move these 2 teams up and do it quickly.
