Re: Final State-Wide Power Rankings
I have a proposal {must admit T@F'S idea was to do this at Christmas tourny}. Have a preseson tourny between the top 8 divsion one teams against the top 8 divsion 2. Pembroke- Trinity, Portsmouth -Central, Souhegan- Merrimack. Milford- BG, you get the picture. Heck, these teams all scrimmage each other in the preseason anyway. I think it would be alot of fun,Get SHNU or Rivier for 3 days. I'd pay 10 bucks to watch games all day. That would be some good hoops.

my top 8 for division 1 next year
Trinity- Like my daddy told me,"you can't teach height".
Central- Lacount, Brown, Pelletier, lafond. Not a bad foundation for Doc to build a championship house.
North- everyone forgets those guys that were suspended were juniors, and pretty good ones at that.
BG- Two years ago, I told Pete Tarrier that BG would be loaded in football even after graduating 34 seniors, not many people believed me. Coach Mignault has alot of talent that saw alot of minutes, add to it a few studs that were dominating jv and it looks like Chef Mignault is cooking up a winning recipe.
Merrimack- Probably alot of people's top 2 for next year, probably as much talent as any team in division 1. What they lack is toughness. They have plenty of highlight reel guys, but no down and dirty guys.
Alvirne- Love the 2 big kids, they play tough.
South- Nate has been very patient with this group. His patience pays off this year.
Spaulding- Tough team, tough coach. Their sophmore who had mono played unbelievable in the 2 games I saw this year.

That's a nice pre season - pre season Top 8, GNG, but......
..... You better wait until the traffic on Transfer Highway and Prep School Highway clears up. Those highways might see some grid lock this summer.
