Come on you have to be kidding us on that one??? I could show thousands of games in any sport that officials not only changed a game but ruined the game.lol has anyone seen Tim Donaghy he he he.

Not really. I think the play level is lower than many other states because of less athleticism in our state. So if the game is not being played at the speed that it does in many other states the officiating should actually be easier. Since you know the faster the game play the tougher it is to officiate. So that argument does not work for me. But this is my last post on Officiating..
Today... for now... unless I get called out by T and F... I just cannot turn down his need for Milford vs Officiating.

But when you get kids that can play at a high level like a lot of the AAU kids like Chikid son, and then you play with ref's that are not use to games like that then your bound to have problems.

Take the challenge then. I dare anyone to sit down with Chikid and watch a video of some of these games and prove him wrong? It won't happen Chikid because they know the truth.

So tell me D1 fans. Is BG and Pinkerton worth seeing or is this a blowout waiting to happen? I want to see some hoops, all the strong Prep schools are down in Rhode Island so BG and Pinky is all I got. Worth the trip?

I can't resist. Let's sit down and go over every bad pass, every travel, every bad shot, every time someone was out of position on defense, every time someone didn't box out, etc. Then let's look at the coaches and let's see the wrong play that he called, the wrong substitution, the wrong defense called, also the way the coach yelled when he shouldn't have, didn't motivate when he should have etc. Now let's see who is really doing a better job...

Believe me this is all in good fun but I think you get my point...

I think Pinkerton is in trouble today but you never know what coach R. might have up his sleeve.

Good comeback however we are talking amateurs vs professionals.. aren't we. Adults vs kids? Besides my son is perfect everyone in NH knows that... lol

The kids are not getting paid to play and if they travel or break the rules then call them on it. Isn't part of having ref's makeing the calls so that the kids obey the rules and be better off as players for it? Kids can only take advantage of the system by grabbing, clutching,flopping and so on if the ref's allow it correct? So all i'm saying is head of officials first priority is to make sure we don't see things like officials making up calls or constently out of position or how to call a flop or hand check or grab or charge? I don't think that's asking too much is it? If they make a mistake which everyone does fine but i still think anyone out on the floor with a whistle needs to know all the rules and what what thier job is. And by the way it's true Mikey has never fouled in a game. Maybe in practice but never ever in a game.

I watched the North South game a lot of fouls were called but it was well officiated game, the refs calls did not have an outcome in the game

South Merrimack the game was decided because of the refs calls, not only the non call on the last shot but the travel called with a minute left that would have put South up three

I have done plenty of officiating at the Mens league level down in Florida so the Quality of play is about the Same as NH HS hoops

Number on rule of officiating in mine mind is an advantage as to be gained by the violation if not put the whistle away.

Thistle was wide open caught the bounce pass way ahead of any defender took two steps without a dribble and layed it in. If no travel was called no one would have said anything.

So Goldenbear, How do you know if an advantage happens do you wait to see if the shot goes in? I mean a player gets bumped on a shot, the shot goes in.. is there advantage? If he didn't get fouled and the shot went in the results would be 2 points. If he got fouled and the shot did not go in... I mean do you really know if a player is gaining advantage on the shot?

Chi kid I said violation not a foul, I am talking about travel, carry, etc

fouls are different, if you call one foul at one point during the game you call it the whole game

if you dont call it then you never call it pretty simple

Ok I got ya, I was picturing a referee seeing a kid hit hard a layup and watching the lay up go in and not making a call.

I find the final score interesting and curious about it...

I went to BG and Pinkerton. Very entertaining game with many whistles. Must have been 30 total fouls in the first half. Patrikas was in foul trouble as was McClung for BG. Game was actually close at about the 4-5 minute mark when McClung reentered and soon after Patrikas fouled out. BG controlled the game in the final minutes. As usual BG plays many guys and they battle for every play. Green was very effective on the boards both offensive and defensive. Cuipa had a three late that helped BG create a little cushion. I was impressed with Park for Pinkerton. He does not have the advantage my son has with having Holder and O'Loughlin but he is a nice guard. Hit a few pull ups and played a very good game but with Patrikas in foul trouble he was fighting a losing battle.

I was going to the Bow and Campbell game but it was so horrible out and my son called me to inform me that the Ultimate Fighting party was now in our living room I decided maybe a trip to Shaws for some snacks and drinks was a priority.
