Feb 10th games. The cluster continues.
Concord 2-10 at Trinity 9-2. Chance of Concord upseting the best team in NH 0%.
Memorial 6-4 at Merrimack 9-2. Merrimack looks to get back on track after getting 3 pointed to death in the second half against Spaulding. Word to the wise, The Crusaders love to huck and chuck the the 3 ball. Memorial begins a grueling 4 game stretch,at Merrimack, at Alvirne, at Central, and hosting West. OUCH
Spaulding 8-4 at Central 8-3. Game of the night. A win by either team could go a long way to getting a top 4 seed. A LONG WAY.
Salem 9-3 at Exeter 4-7. I like Exeter to win {next week against South}, not this week against Salem. Salem gets their 10th win.
Alvirne 8-3 at South 5-7. Two teams heading in different directions. South {losers of 7 of their last 8} is heading South in the NHIAA standings. Alvirne wants to host 2 games badly, so they need to keep hanging w's, not l's.
Pinkerton 7-4 at Winnie 5-6. Lot of people talking up Winnie. Not me. They haven't beaten a team with a winning record. Pinkerton has a winning record. This is one of the few remaining games on Pinky's schedule in which they will be favored to win.
Keene 2-10 at Timberlane 0-11. Did they fire the new head coach at keene yet? He's been there what 3 games. Time for a new coach. What can you say about this game? Even the parents don't want to go.

My apologies GNG. I was so busy I started a Feb. 10th game thread w/o even looking that you started one AND I gave you unwarranted grief.
I do see I've had more activity over on my Feb. 10th thread. It must be some of the nice people in Londonderry who feel the warm blogging hugs from T & F instead of the cold slam of the blogging door from GNG.

And in the lower divisions… two really good matchups in D-2 tonight.
Pembroke (11-2) at Pelham (9-4) – Not including the clunker they had against Bedford, Pelham’s losses have been by 1, 2 and 3 points. Pembroke has a fairly easy schedule remaining after tonight, so a win would almost assure them a spot in the top four.
John Stark (8-4) at Bedford (9-3) – Another test for Stark to prove they belong in the upper echelon of D-2. Two of their losses have been to undefeated Hanover, and the other two were by 1 and 2 points. Bedford is currently in fifth place, and they still have two games remaining with Souhegan.
Hanover (12-0) looks to remain undefeated, traveling to Oyster River.
Not much else of interest in D-2, and no particularly intriguing matchups in D-3 or D-4.

I thought I was seeing double.
I turn on my computer and there is a picture of T@F making national news. I was wrong , it was the new picture of Macauley Caulkin. They could be twins.

South, tonight
Yes, South has lost 5 of their last 6, the five losses by a combined 11 points.
Alvirne has won 4 out of 5 against the bottom echelon. (1-11 Londonderry, man, are they poor, 0-11 Timberlanne, 2-10 Concord, and 1-10 Keene. Sorry but I am ignoring Keene's victory over Con-Val)
Alvirne has not won a meaningful game since January 6th vs BG.
South-------- 2 point loss to 8-3 Central. 1 point to 9-2 Merrimack, 4 point loss to 5-6 Winnacunnet a game that followed a disappointing 2-point road loss to 8-3 North, a 2 point loss at 7-4 Pinkerton.
On opposite ends of the spectrum Salem lost to South by 18 and beat Alvirne by 18
Yes, Mazz is a good coach. I don't see any quit in them. The South will rise again.

In her last two games, Amra Elezovic has scored 6 points against Winnacunnet and 4 points against Londonderry. Are defenses starting to figure her out?

UGLY BASKETBALL continues to dominate division 1 hoops this year.
Some of these teams offenses are truly offensive.

Looks like Bert was right
South up 46 27 after 3. Alvirne had 0 fgs and 9 turnovers in 3rd quarter. Good call Bert. The South will rise.
Pinkerton has 25 turnovers and beats Winnie. 35-32. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is a sad/bad day for NH hoops.
Alvirne playing themselves out of a top 4 seed.
Merrimack 34 Memorial 20. The Crusaders scored 2 points in the 3rd quarter. MY GOSH.

T@F, want to see this thread explode.
Maybe I'll tell the Greatest NH sports story never told. It makes the Keene story look like a jv game.
Nah, I'll let you have your thread.
I'll save that gem for another day
