Final Alvirne 44 Lond 40. Brown hits 2 fts with 31 seconds left to give Alv a 42 to 40 lead. Londonderry's Winn made a nice move to the hole, but came up short on a lay up that would've tied ghe game with 12 seconds left. Dunn thenhits 2 fts to ice the game for Alvirne. Very tough loss for Lond. They played well.

Merrimack lost to Spaulding in a close one. I listened to the game on my computer.

North pummeled Pinkerton.
Salem double ot winner over West. All I got to do to jinx Salem is say I like them.
Trinity crushed Keene.
Exeter bombed Central.

Re: Feb. 7th Games
Spaulding beats Merrimack 47-45. PJ Juneau hit a pair of Free Throws to give SHS a 46-45 lead late. Merrimack looked sluggish in the first half, their first FG didn't come until 2:30 ish to go in the 1st Q.
Spaulding lead most of the 1st half, the wheels came off in the 3rd Q and Merrimack got up by 9. Nick McGregor hit a HUGE 3 at the buzzer of the 3rd to vut it to six.
Merrimack got back up by 9 again in the 4th,, but McGregor caught fire in the 4th, and hit 3 straight 3's to tie it up. The Red Raiders lost PG Luke Roberts with about 4 min to go, he fouled out after getting T'd up in the 3rd, thanks to about 3 straight bad calls that went against him in about :45 seconds. VERY unlike Roberts to get T'd up.
Gutsy win for SHS. though I don't think they got Merrimack's best game, at least in the first half. How much that had to do with Spaulding's D is a matter of conjecture.

Thanks dude! My partner was a late scratch- I'm getting better at going Vin Scully style (solo).
Re: Feb. 7th Games
I'm not blowin smoke. You made feel like I was there. I thought more Bob Uecker then Vin Scully. Loved the one liners.

The Lady Astros beat the Lady Titans 51 - 48. This is a big victory for the Pinkerton girls. With the Memorial loss to Winny the battle for the coveted 4th slot in D1 girls is at a fever pitch.

GNG, I would presume that is Exeter bombing Concord as opposed to Exeter bombing Central.

Re: Feb. 7th Games
GNG, I saw Justin at work at the playoffs at UNH last season. Just sitting by him and seeing and listening to him operate made me feel like I had been infused with shots of announcing expresso. Yes, it was a good thing !!!

AS opposed to when you sit next to me and the shots are of a different nature.

Re: Feb. 7th Games
Central won - I believe - and I think it was a close and exciting finish - but the message I got was an autocorrect disaster so they could have lost to Clones, too.

BG girls had a tough one with Dover tonight in winning 56 to 47. I heard at one time the Green Wave had a 10 point lead.

Re: Feb. 7th Games
I'll tell you what. A Friday night road trip to Rochester to see Spaulding play with GNG and Tulliver in tow would be an epic night.
Get an early start and see if there is a pre game party at the Riviera. If not then to the Elks for a little bit of Karaoke with the regulars. Attend the game and go to Gary Sports Bar with Justin. Of course on the way home a swing into the Elks to sing Happy Trails with the Rochester Regs and then on to the Riviera for a possible post game celebration.

I don't know where you derelicts live, but I'm planning on doing the Spaulding @ Trinity game in about a week and a half, FYI.

I'm kind of taking being called a derelict as a compliment, seeing it's coming from Justin

One would get the feeling GNG is starting to feel the love again for the Cardinal basketball team.

Quite a stretch of 5 games coming up for the Red Raiders:
@Central
@West
Alvirne - home
Exeter - home
@Trinity

Yeah those Concord and Londonderry losses could yet come back to bite them on the Posterior.
Also, and I said this during the game, the Spaulding student section is WEAK. Somebody needs to take these kids to a Portsmouth, or Souhegan game, and show them how it's done. I was convinced that the entire crowd could hear me calling the game at some points. As a Red Raider Alum (who may or may not have made eye charts for the refs from poster board), I am ashamed!

Justin, I'll give you a pass on the referee comments because you do it in a skilled tongue-in-cheek manner.
Would you be able to ref a travel double header near the Queen City this weekend?

Wow, Central hung on to beat South 59 to 57. The closeness of that game doesn't surprise me in the least.
