Londonderry over Spaulding- Spaulding doesn't have the guards to handle the pressure that the lancers have the potential to create.
Alvirne over west- Livingston is going to dominate and west gets down on themselves to quickly
BG over Exeter- BG is just the better team here hands down
South over concord- kaleb would have to score 30 for a chance to win...
Central over Dover-central is to dominate with Dixon, Pelletier and surprise guard Hanson
Keene over Pinkerton- I'm calling the upset. Pinkerton has to drive to Keene and that's tough to play after that drive and Pinkerton this is a rebuilding year.
Winny over north- north is sub par, Winny isn't much better but I have them winning
Merrimack over Bedford- gendron is going to have a big game I feel tomorrow night
Trinity over Salem- Salem losing to memorial downs their spirits and trinity is to good to go into with downed spirits.

Winny is playing Grinnell, LMU style of basketball the shot over 40 3's first game and 36 against South,

If North can rebound and attack the pressure they can play with them.

North will be one of the best coach teams in the State this year

I like Spaulding tonight. Paradis is on my top 5.

Alvirne over West. Remember I was first to write West won't make the playoffs.

BG over Exeter. Lunn is in my top 5 {actually he is in my top 1}. He scores and rebounds. He is a true leader on and off the court. Boykins in my top 10. Best foul shooter in the state, and a pretty darn good passer.

South easy over Concord. South is for real. Good for Mazz.

Central over Dover. Dover is physical. This might be closer then people think.

Pinky over Keene. Pinky doesn't want to start 0-3.

North over Winnie. I am not nearly as high on Winnie as other people are.

Bedford over Merrimack. Game of the night. I know Mack is a tough place to play, and I have Gendron in my top 5, but they haven't played anyone yet. Bedford impressed me opening night. Should be a dandy.

Trinity over Salem. Salem is another team that isn't as good as people {t@f} thought.

The nhiaa 's division one hoop schedule. With the addition of Bedford they have created an unbalanced schedule.

Instead of just adding one game to every teams schedule they opted for eliminating one team from everyon'e schedule.

This blows in my opinion.

Did you know Central and BG don't play in the regular season. Memorial doesn't play South. How that happens is beyond me.

I believe the jury is still out on Salem. Andrew Ruffen was injured in Salem's first 2 games. They will most likely lose to Trinity tonight. Their first 3 games have been against 3 of what could be the top 8 teams in D1. Take Lunn away from BG, take Pelletier away from Central and take Preston away from South..... Well, you get my point. I still think Salem can host a prelim game and finish in the Top 8 if Ruffen works his way back in the lineup.


I was going to attend the Trinity at Salem game, but I have to admit the Spaulding at Londonderry game is looking better and better. I might wear a Mike Eruzione or Jim Craig 1980 jersey to counter act Justin in case he wears his 1980 CCCP jersey. There is no truth to the rumor I will be treated special if I attend the game at Londonderry tonight......

.....Just because I will be sitting in a leather motorized chair at center court, in my own private suite, stocked with lobster rolls, steak tips and leading the Lancer pep band at halftime, while wearing all my Londonderry basketball clothing generously donated by the Lancer Booster Club.

No truth to that rumor. Plus, I don't want Justin to go off on a tangent about me being an "Away Homer" for the Lancers because he should know how much I love the Red Raider basketball program..... While sitting in my center court Lancer private suite etc. etc. etc.

West is to Bedford as Salem is to Windham.

The jury is in T@F and your GUILTY for putting a team in your top 6 that doesn't belong there.

Don't worry we are still friends. Not everybody has the je ne se quois that I have when it comes to picking teams.

GNG = Real Estate tax bill in my mail box, thick ice that needs to be scraped on my windshield, leaves needed to be raked on my lawn and dirty dishes piled up in my sink.

I'll be at Bedford vs Merrimack. Should be an extremely interesting game. Bedford, very high scoring (it is them or BG have bad D?) and from the things I've seen from Merrimack, not extremely impressed by their m2m defense (played mostly 1-2-2 vs Timberlane). I predict a Merrimack win but not too high and def will be close.

Other games: Spaulding over Londonderry: heard lots about LHS's bigs but I hear Spaulding got a good all around team. You need 5 guys to win.
-Alvirne over West: Alvirne loves to run up and down the floor. Expect them to do that.
-BG over Exeter.
-South over Concord: can't go against my boys after the drubbing of Winnie.
-Central over Dover: If Central find their patience and rhythm, they'll be fine.
-Pinky over Keene.
-Winnie over North: Both are good teams but with Winnie's pressure might be too much for the young North team. But I won't be surprised if North wins also.
-Trinity over Salem: Heard Trinity is very athletic but we'll see how good they are.

I will be at the Merrimack game tonight if anyone wants to sit and hang out. I am always decked out in purple!!

T&F - I believe the menu in the VIP section at Londonderry tonight is Beef Wellington and Alaskan Crab Legs. Do you prefer goose or duck feather comforter in your recliner?

Edge, definitely goose feather in my recliner. It will remind me of my Grandmother who I had the privilege of knowing and spending much time with as I was growing up. She had goose feathers in every thing. It was so warm and comforting...... Bless her soul and memory.

I like your ability to break down a game but I disagree with you on some things.
I think Lunn is a nice player but not number one in the state. He is a tough match up for any team,Boykins is just flat out quick but at times plays out of control, and in a set up offense can be eaten up by taller\ guards. When Toscano comes back this should help him.
I have seen south twice this year and at times can really be impressed, and at times really disappointed.Tim Preston in my opinion is their best player right now. He can breakdown the defense and gives the ball out like a point guard should. Dunham is playing nice but needs to post up more . He is getting a smaller player because of his shooting. He needs to run the hi low with Big Preston.
Big Preston has a ton of ability but hasn't really shown it consisitently.. I think he is just one breakout game away from setting a standard for all the other players to try and reach.
If south stays focused on the game and not their friends in the stands I have them in the Final Four.
I guess we will see on Feb 8th who is the main team in Nashua.
If the both win tonight and get their third win, I gues they would already qualify for the state tournament.

Bedford was up by 20 on Merrimack with 4 minutes left in the game.

Bedford beat Merrimack 62-42. Bedford in the 3rd Quarter got real hot (it really started in the 2nd, they got a little momentum). The Bulldogs were raining a lot of 3s in the 3rd and Merrimack couldn't quite catch up. Plus, Bedford took advantage on the Fast and Secondary Break. Bedford was looking like the team to watch out for in D1.
