Bert. Londonderry will not make the dance. I believe they are a poor team.

Nashua has lost 6 of their last 7. They will finish with more losses then victories. I believe they are a poor team.

I give Merrimack kudos for gutting out those 2 victories. True they only have one loss, but they are not a feared team in this league right now. Not as long as Floras is out.

Kabongo did play. He had 1 point in about 15 minutes off the bench. He's not hurt. Him and Oumaru both have very bright futures.

Feb. 3rd Games - Page 2 Empty Poor teams are Keene, Timberlane......

Post  Bert54the1 Sun Feb 05, 2012 7:33 pm

I'm not saying a loss is a good loss.

I am also not a believer in Londonderrry making the playoffs, I am simply questioning how you can label a team "poor" team that has been "in" so many games. South, as well, has had some impressive losses and an inability to win a close game. Poor? I believe that is an incorrect word choice. If South and Londonderry are "poor" as you say, what does that make Timberlane? A D2 candidate?

1. Trinity---------------16. Concord no upset here
2. Merrimack---------15. Exeter 3rd time they meet this season.
3. Central-------------14. Dover Romps and Wheeler have had a few in the past
4. Salem---------------13. Win Rematch of Salem's 6 point home win
5. Pinkerton-----------12. South Pinkeerton won @home by 2
6. West -------------11.Memorial Should be a good city match-up
7. Alvirne ------------ 10. North Watch out for the 10 seed
8. Spaulding ----------9. BG Rematch of a big Spaulding win

I am not sure South is a poor team either

they are not getting blown out in any of their loses

they could beat Exeter, Timby and Keene and if they get one more they will win 9

And Londonderry has Concord, Keene, Exeter, and Timby left so they could easily play themselves in that last two sports

I wouldn't call South a poor team either - but I seem to feel as though they're their own worst enemy.

Yes. Many HS teams become their own worst enemy, for instance, when they fail to recognize how clock management might assist them coming down the stretch in a close game.

South did that against Merrimack with a couple of ill advised shots. But after all, it is HS basketball. There are many mistakes in a game. Physical. Mental. No one mistake beats you, but those at the end of the game sometimes seem especially significant.

Not sure what number he was wearing, but I did hear he had to use a teammte's jersey because he forgot his or got blood orn it or soemthing like that. I've seen him play a few times in the past so I knew which one he was without looking at the roster. Sorry!
