Class I Girls Tournament

Class I is in to the Quarterfinals of the girls Tourney with ALL top 8 seeds advancing. Most games are scheduled for Thursday night I believe.

Girls Class I Semifinals are set for Monday March 8 at SNHU with (1) Lebanon vs. (5) St. Thomas Aquinas and (2) Portsmouth vs. (6) Kennett

Ali Wagner as to be the best Junior in the state, she is amazing player, hit big shot after big shot for Kennett over Portsmouth tonight wow.

She also had 28 of the 42 pts that kennet scored i believe

...and scored her 1,000th point on a free throw during the game

And she is only a Junior

Down 3 makes a steal for lay up with about 2 minutes left to cut it 1 then Portsmouth scores comes down hits a step back 16 ft jumper that looked more like Kobe than any girl I ever seen to cut it to 1. The with 30 seconds left hits 17 footer over 2 defenders for the lead. Gets the rebound and hits 2 ft to go 3 aeconds with 15 left.

Scored the alst 8 points she did miss a front end of a one up 1 with 3 left but wow what a performance.

Kennett won by 7

Wagner was 0-4 in the first half and did not take a shot in the second half, she did go11-12 from the line 9-10 in the 4th quarter. Fellow JR guard Melisa Frase had 14 point and made some big shots. Also Freshman back up Center Lauren White (Sister to BC OL Ian White) had 11 points and close to ten boards.


Kennett was up 9-11 most of the third quarter then Lebanon cut to 5 right in the first few minutes of the 4th and got with in 42-40 with 3 minutes left and that is When Wagner hit 9 ft in a row before missing her last.

Kennett returns 4 out of their top 6 players including Wagner, Frase and White they should be the favorite next year and might be the best team in whole state next year.
