Feb. 19th Games
How's the snow treating you? Had enough?
Maybe, they'll be some basketball played tonight. It's showing snow showers of 1 to 3 inches and precipitation from about 1 pm to 8 pm today. Awesome.
I'll put these games on and hope they're played:
Pinkerton at BG: The Astros are a little more formidable now that the Big Guy is back.
Memorial at West: 2 teams going south as of late and their fans probably wish they could go further south to get away from this winter. It should be great to find a parking space around West tonight. It'll be similar to finding a space at an Anchorage HS game.
Keene at Merrimack: If any of you can comment on this game I'm all ears.
Central at North: See above description of Keene/Merrimack game.
Dover at South: The Panthers need this game to stay in the upper seedings.
Salem at Spaulding: The Red Raiders need this game to stay in the hunt for a home prelim game. Salem is precariously inching towards the 16th seed.
Exeter at Timberlane: The Owls are catching Exeter at a bad time. The Blue Hawks have found their stride with a healthy Holler. Speaking of which, Is 3Buoys trapped in a Kittery avalanche? I haven't heard from him in a looooooooong time.
Trinity at Winny: The tallest team visiting the not as tallest team.
Bedford at Londonderry: The marquee game of the night. Both teams are playing well. The Bulldogs have won 6 in a row. The Lancers have won 8 in a row. Both teams like to push the ball up the court. Great guard matchups in this game. Both teams Bigs like to drive hard to the rack. This has the feeling of a close quarter or semi playoff game. I'm perplexed though. Colin Burke a/k/a the:
"Best Asst Coach in the NH"
Is listed in the Bedford HS program as a VOLUNTEER. Ok, people who sell tickets are volunteers. People who run the concessions are volunteers. People who record steals and assists are volunteers. How will Mr Burke be listed in the Londonderry program tonight? Will he be listed as an asst coach or as a volunteer? Edge, if you could help me out on this one and check tonight's Londonderry program, I would appreciate it. I know if I was making up the program tonight I would have printed:
Colin Burke: Best Assistant Coach in NH

Re: Feb. 19th Games
Concord @ Alvirne: A tight game against Timberlane doesn't bode well for their future. Alvirne.
Pinkerton @ BG: BG dictates a style of play that Rosinski can't play and he is Pinkerton. BG.
Bedford @ Londonderry: Now is the time to see if Bedford is on a run or just pretending to be on a run. Londonderry.
Memorial @ West: Game should be played outside in July with chain nets. Memorial.
Keene @ Merrimack: Keene may not break 30 points. Merrimack.
Exeter @ Timberlane: Senior night for the Owls, but they catch no break against a healthy Exeter.
Central @ North: 2007 Patriots continue their march. Central.
Dover @ South: South needs a win and this is the perfect time for a game with Dover. South.
Salem @ Spaulding: Two programs known for grit and balls. Expect a bar fight. Salem.
Trinity @ Winnacunnet: Upset Alert. Close but no. Trinity.

I see a title game loss to Trinity is all. No losses before that.

Will someone go find Mr Heat Miser and wake him up....
Where's Jeff Gillooly to put a hit out on Mr Cold Miser... For those of you not old enough - oy vei - to know who that is - I suggest you watch the closing ceremonies of the Olympics... NBC claims they will explain it all just before the ceremony with an expose by Mary Carillo.

Re: Feb. 19th Games
Well, Dover will have to wait to steal that game another day because I don't think any games will be happening tonight with the way that this weather is going. I am out on the road right now and the roads are terrible. It just took me nearly an hour to make a normal 15 minute trip from the west side of Manchester to Candia.
I have seen 3 complete fish tails & one car totally off the road in my trip.

Re: Feb. 19th Games
Looks like the boys and girls games for Pinkerton vs. BG are still on, and so is the South @ Dover girls game. Anyone got word on Bedford vs. Londonderry boys and girls games?
Re: Feb. 19th Games
Due to postponements, some girls programs have back-to-back-to-back games this week (Thurs-Sat). Tournament starts next week so they have to get the games in by this weekend.

Bedford basketball has won seven in a row after starting the season 1-7. They win away @ Londonderry 55-50.

Re: Feb. 19th Games
That game is going to be crazy, how awesome would that be for those seniors for timberlane to end their career with a post game victory interview with pete tarrier. Any idea is Timby is bringing a fan bus to keene?

Colin Burke: Best Assistant Coach in NH
I was an assistant coach, and a volunteer (most are) but agree be nice he were recognized as a coach. They spend just as much time in the gym as the Head Coach does in most cases.
