Feb. 5th Games
South at Exeter: The Blue Hawks have the Bigs to contend with Jack Preston. This should be a Grinder special. It wouldn't surprise me to see both teams stay north or south of 50 points.
Souhegan at H/B: The race is on to be seeded 2nd to 8th in D2 boys. This game will help that process.
Bishop Brady at John Stark: Please see the above description of the Souhegan - H/B game.
Dover at Keene: This is an intriguing game. Dover is a tough team, but Keene could surprise in this one.
North at Memorial: One would assume a solid W for the Crusaders, but with no Kante, a prepared Titan team, other Crusader depleted depth..... Memorial can't sleep on this game.
Trinity at Merrimack: A savory matchup for sure. One would think Eric Gendron would have to score 25 to 35 points for Mack to pull off the upset.
Portsmouth at Oyster River: Please see the descriptions of the 2 afore mentioned D2 matchups.
Central at Spaulding: Here's your Numero Uno game of the night. The Plentzas concussion issue bears watching in this matchup. Spaulding's backcourt is so tough. Will Dickson be able to score? If not it falls on Hansen and Pelletier. Paradis poses a problem for Central. He's on a POY roll. Makris has to score some points tonight. Just a fascinating game of matchups and chinks in each team's armor for the other team to exploit.
I hope to God Justin is broadcasting the big one !!!

Re: Feb. 5th Games
I know I'm excited about tonight's battle between Central and Spaulding. It's a tough place to play and a tough place to watch from. Seems like you are miles from the court. I expect Pelletier to neutralize Paradis and vice versa. Central looks to have all hands on deck which will be helpful. Two well coached squads who run great sets and are disciplined on offense and defense. I haven't seen Spaulding this year but a reliable source told me Central is superior. We shall see. Officiating is always ummmm.....excellent and objective I think the Little Green will get it done but it will be a battle. ROLL LITTLE GREEN!

Checked on Twitter and Merrimack is up on Trinity in the 4th after Franzen hit some 3s. 47-41 and it might've been a while ago. I had Mack beating Trinity in my standings

Final: Merrimack 60 Trinity 56. Trinity's first loss of the season and I called that one. It'll be interesting to see if they see each other again in the playoffs! Sounded like a good game on the Radio

Re: Feb. 5th Games
Weird game tonight in Rochester- Spaulding looked like they were going to grind one out, but the tide seemed to turn after Doc was T'd up for Central.
Paradis was playing a "Point Center" tonight, bring the ball up most of the time. Not sure if that was the game plan, or a mid game adjustment. He only had one FG, and really wasn't looking to shoot in the first half.
Dickson was money tonight, 21 and could've had more, missed a few bunnies and some wiiiiiiiiide open 3's. Great game from overall though- funny moment, as he was announced at 5'9', goes over to fist bump the refs and says "I guess they're giving me a few inches tonight"
This game was tough to call from an officiating standpoint, even with the 3 man crew. They tried to set a tone early, calling a few quick fouls, but both teams play so physical that if it was over officiated, it would've turned into a Berlin/Somersworth debacle. It lead to both coaches and both teams being frustrated with the Zebras, but I thought they did a decent job, considering they were trying to ref a battle royale in a phone booth.
Thanks to those that listened!

Re: Feb. 5th Games
Interesting point by Justin. Do all D-1 games use a 3-man crew? If not, what determines whether they use two refs or three?

Talked to one of the refs, got the impression they'll do it for big games like this one- gets both the refs and players ready for the 3 man playoff crews.
