Due to some significant damage to the gym floor... leaking roof brought about warped and cracked places in the court..... the games will NOT be played at home this year.

Stay tuned for a confirmed location.. though I have a good idea already!

I just hope its not the YMCA downtown...that floor has more dead spots than my cell coverage in Fremont.

I would say the venue will still be bigger than Trinity's gym... although that's where the LG play this year!

We are cautiously optimistic but dumbfounded that they think they can get it done that quickly.

I'm not sure if that date has anything to do with the fact that there is an election approaching and the school budget fallout could be linked to it.

But, maybe they are right! They did look for contractors who would work after school and overnight to not disrupt school.

UL said the roofers were going to work 14 to 16 hour days 6 to 7 days a week to get it done in time for HS hoop season. Do you think if Doc was up on the roof giving them the "if looks could kill" stare the roofers would definitely get it done by December?

First,

Doc would distract them ... his love of words is as well known as his fondness for black turtlenecks.

Secondly.... I just learned that work will be starting ANY day.. perhaps tomorrow. However, if I read it right... they doing the floor first and then the roof. Yeah... that makes sense.

And the rain began early this morning as well...good luck with that one! Good news though that they're trying to get it done. I can't imagine anything worse as a HS Senior to have to play your home games in your rivals gym. Keep us updated!

Roof work starts tomorrow....

I actually think the entire season of home games will be played in the Simon gym.
