3 of the 4 Quarterfinal games were close and exciting games. Winny beat Salem by a decent margin. Pinky beat Alvirne by 2. Central beat BG by 3. Bedford beat Lond by about 4.

Tonight's Semis:

5:00 pm Central vs Pinkerton

6:30 pm Bedford vs Winny

2 excellent semi final games tonight at Central.

In the first game Central pulled out an 8 point-ish victory over Pinkerton. This game was played at a high level for a girl's JV game. There was a great up tempo to this game. Both teams liked to push the ball and had skilled guards which makes all the difference in a game at this level. Central had more guards who could handle the problems on the court and this was the difference. The majority of the Little Green JV Ladies are freshman, which bodes well for their basketball future. The Central Varsity team had some sophomores with some nice upside this season. I'm sure win or lose in the playoffs Coach Wenners will be very much looking forward to coaching next year's edition of the Central girl's.

In the 2nd game Bedford pulled out a tight victory over a very good Winny team. Winny had the momentum early. Bedford swung it back to their side in the 2nd quarter. Winny got some spacing in the 3rd period only to see Bedford mount another comeback in the 4th period before over taking the Lady Warriors.

The Championship will be Bedford vs Central Tuesday night at 5:00 pm. This game will segway into the Concord at Central boy's prelim game at 7:00 pm. Just another good night of basketball at the Iconic Simon Gym.

The Central girls pulled out a solid double digit victory over Bedford to win the Championship. It will be fascinating to see how this group of freshman develops over the next 3 years in the Little Green basketball program.
