Big Game in D2

Lebanon goes into Pembroke and steals a close one. Real good game with some great board work from Lebanon and some real nice shots made from both sides.

Quick recap from the monitor:

Pembroke lost at home to Lebanon despite leading after the third quarter. The visitors outscored the Spartans (1-1) by nine in the final quarter to take the win.

Patrick Welch led Pembroke with 22 points. Tyler Morrison scored 12 points with 12 rebounds, and Kent Noyes had eight points and eight boards.

Couple of other noteworthy games:

Somersworth over Campbell 51-50. Campbell starts 0-2, a far cry from last years success.

Oyster River of St. Thomas Acquinas 62-56 in OT. OR gets back to 1-1 with a much needed win after Fridays loss at Bedford. Article here:

Campbell beat Somersworth 51-50 in what was a close back and forth game through out. The difference in the game was Campbells ability to knock down key free throws down the stretch. A nice bounce back win for the Cougars against a quality opponent.

You're right - Campbell DID win - I must have been looking at it backwards on the NHIAA site. Sorry bout that Cougar fans. Nice win, Somersworth is a good squad.

I can't wait to see the Pembroke freshman Patrick Welch. He's scored 49 points in his first 2 games against very good opponents.
