Historian needed in Milford
I was asked by some of our team the other night when the last time a #1 seed won the class I title and I was ashamed I did not know. The conversation continued and the more I thought about it the more I need to know. Does anyone know when the last time a #1 seed won the tourney?

NHIAA has a PDF you can download of past champions, but does not include seeds on it. So I have no idea...
Hmm?
How do I get to that PDF? Having some trouble locating it.

Duhhh Got it
Duhh I got it.
Anyone remember if the year of James Roman was Pelham the 1 seed or was it Bow? I am thinking Bow was the favorite but not positive of that. I do know that Souhegan was the top seed a few years prior to that. That was the year they went undefeated.

Amazing the Smithsonian has the shirt that JFK was assasinated in carefully stored away in it's temperature controlled historical artifacts basement storage.
Meanwhile..... the NHIAA has stored in their non temp contolled archives, what? A list of leading scorers in the state's basketball history? A bracket breakdown of previous state tournaments? Wishful thinking for those of us that are interested in such information.
It would be kind of cool if Merrimack wins Class L this year if they take Coach Goodridge's shirt to the NHIAA office and start a HS basketball museum. Goody's wrinkled, tossed and turned 32 minutes of coaching box state championship shirt would be a perfect 1st piece to start the NH HS basketball museum.

That's awesome !! And a tie to go with the shirt. Definitely 2 items to start the NH HS Basketball Museum.

Goody's shirt... wouldn't be Class L's without it!

Maybe, instead of NHIAA putting a picture of 2009 Class L Champs Trinity on the cover of the 2010 Class L Playoff program, they should put the Goody picture instead.
