Some interesting scores from this evening in class S. Wilton lost at home to Pittsfield by 11. Colebrook beat Lin Wood check that score... 78 to 19.
Raymond beat Campbell in a close class M game. Maybe Raymond is a team to contend with this year in M.

New Season has Begun Empty Raymond

Raymond is the real deal.. they start off with a hard fought win in campbell on opening night IN campbell...They also have a relatively easy schedule... No Conant, No Berlin.. Is this a top 4 finish team in Division 3?

Think you're right BeastMode, and welcome to the forum. Were you at the game? Any details?

Yeah, Raymond came out jittery at the beginning, but it was a close game all the way through with campbell up by 1 at the half..Morin was off tho for Raymond and PAynter was leading the squad scoring.. Lang got in early foul trouble which hurt them defensively, but they fought back and put a big run in at the end of the third then campbell tied it up again and up but 3 with about 4 minutes left Lang hit a deep three to bring them to a bigger lead and they had about a 6 to 7 point cushion the rest of the game...Morgan probably scored about 30 but probably also shot 18 threes lol, hes the only scorer they have..when raymond is on their game, they look tough.. but still got a couple kinks to work out like any other team..

Yep first game of the season, thanks for the rundown on the game. Campbell is a tough out though, especially in their gym, so great first win for Raymond.

I think Mr. Haley over at NHSportsPage hit this one squarely on the head with his preview based on your game report BeastMode.

Hats off to Raymond. It was a big win for their program. I am a Campbell fan and was at the game last night. Campbell led by as many as 8 in the 2nd quarter. However Raymond went on a run and closed to within 1 at the half. Raymond opened the second half very strong and took a 6 or 7 point lead 3 minutes in. Campbell settled down and was down 3 after 3. The 4th quater was very entertaining and intense. Raymond opened up about a 7 point lead and never looked back. Morgan hit a couple of long 3's to keep it interesting in the final 2 minutes. Raymod hung on for a 5 point win 55-50.

The difference in the game was Raymonds experience. As I believe they return most of their roster.

Campbell is a ver young team that has 4 sophomores and one freshman in there top 10. They also have a very tough Division 3 schedule that includes Raymond twice, Conant twice, Bow twice. Somerswoth, Hopkinton Mascenic and Division 2 Pelham once and they also open against Moore Catholic (NY) in the Nashua Holiday Tournament. With all teams making the D3 tournament it will be interesting to see if this young team can come together come playoff time.
