West was up 5-0 early on 1sr qtr, the winny had complete control the rest of the game.
Valentine had numerous players guarding him throughout the game, but probably has never had anybody wear him down like Dunn and gould did tonight.
Valentine shot was off, as he seemed tired at the end.
Cronan played well for a balanced winny attack.

Nice to be back. My computer suffered Tully-itis. I couldn't keep track of the outside HS basketball world and also had to resort to hunting wild animals and cooking them on open fires. I tried smoke signals, but they didn't reach to Dover, so I was once again in the dark. Any body who says there's too much technology is wrong, wrong, wrong. Technology is fantastic and so is HS basketball.

I was at the West at Winny game last night and the Blue Knights struggled from the opening tap. They made questionable mental and physical decisions in the first half and never really got into an offensive groove. Winny's gritty defense had something to do with this, but you have to wonder if West is a different team on the road. Their 3 losses this season have been on the road and all by double digits. Winny was in control of this game for 32 minutes. I kept on waiting for a West run that never came. Hunter picked up 2 quick fouls that sent the BKs into a funk. Valentin never got into a groove. He spent the majority of the 4th quarter playing angry instead of focusing on the task at hand. Asselin played a great game for West. He's not the most skilled big in L, but his motor is always running and he gets points and rebounds with sheer hustle. Gould had a great game for the Warriors. If Winny stays in the top 5 then he has an inside track for 1st team all state. He shoots the 3, drives with aplomb and has a high basketball IQ. McKenna has Winny playing disciplined ball. You must beat Winny as they probably won't beat themselves.

There was a nice moment in the stands when reigning girl's POY Tiffany Ruffin had a nice conversation with former boy's POY Tyler Roche's grandfather, Jack Murphy. Jack is a great HS basketball fan that still follows the players, coaches and games.
