Dream Matchup! Empty Dream Matchup!

Dream Matchup!

Stick with me on this. Last week Milford played Monadnock at home, started the non starters, played the starters limited minutes. Won by 59 points. Monadnock is an hour from Milford.
On February 23rd the game is scheduled again in Monadnock.

Also on February 23rd you have a game scheduled in class L.
Trinity hosting Keene. Keene has yet to win a game in class L. Thier lone win was against a very weak class I team in Conval. Trinity is a top 5 team.

Trinity is a short 30 minutes from Milford where as it is more like an hour and change to get there from Keene.

Keene and Monadnock are 15 minutes from each other.

I wonder if all four teams could come to an agreement to switch?
Better games, less travel and a chance to see two of the best teams in the state play each other. TO me this is a no brainer!

ChiKid, your matchup of Trinity hosting Milford is very much like a NH High School basketball game being played using FIBA rules:

One Big Dream

I think if everyone really looks at this they would realize that the switch is best for all involved, saves money and saves face. Makes competitive games out of laughers. Not one negative could come from this at all.

Well, get it going. Contact the AD's for all 4 schools and the head basketball coaches. Of course, it would have to be cleared through NHIAA. That's about 9 to 10 people in total you have to get cleared through.

Piece of cake, right?

You're really beating this subject to death posting it in both forums....I'm actually tempted to combine all the "Class" forums into one...nobody talks M or S anyway (yet) so would be easier to read everything under one forum.

Either that or rename the Class I forum to the "Milford" forum. Razz

Nah...not the 'most' hated....

Look, sure it would be fun for Milford to play better competition. But if they really want to play up a Class, or Division next year its simple, petition to move to Division 1 next year. Mikey and the rest of the boys will be seniors, and get the chance to play the best NH Public schools have to offer. Unfortunately, there will always be dominate teams at lower levels, a school that has just a few more feeder programs than the others.

I just don't think you can go changing a schedule mid-season, makes no sense at all.

Lets keep this one going over on Class I, it's an interesting idea whether I like it or not....locking this one down.
