Dave Keefe Steps Down From Trinity
Even though it was pretty much known to happen at the end of this season, Dave Keefe resigned from his coaching position at Trinity yesterday. Here's John Habib's article on it from the UL:

I have been hearing Doc might step down from Central also. If this happens the coaching landscape in the Queen City will certainly be altered for HS basketball.

Who do you guys think are the leading contenders of the Trinity job? If Doc does leave, who will be the leading contenders to get the Central job?
Re: Dave Keefe Steps Down From Trinity
For the Trinity job, Matt Lemieux has been looked on as the head coach in training in the Trinity basketball family. He coached the JV team and has served as a Varsity asst coach for the last couple of years.
If Doc decides to step down I would presume Troy Bowen, the Central boy's JV coach, would want to apply. He's done a good job of having some pretty good JV teams for the last couple of seasons with the Little Green. One of my people told me Miguel Gonzalez, asst coach at Campbell's boys varsity, might be a viable candidate for the Central coaching job.
The best speculated candidates for these 2 prime NH Varsity boys coaching positions were floated around at Billy's on some after game nights in the 2nd half of the season. I can't mention who the "floating candidates" were, but suffice to say if they became reality then the Forum would surely have quite a post season buzz
What's funny is that if the Central job becomes vacant, then Dan Bryson and Jack Quirk would be the longest tenured Varsity boy's coaches in the Queen City. Danny would be at 3 years and Jack would be at 2 years.

Heard Hansen and Martin are both going the prep route. That might make Doc's decision a lot easier.

Yes, Hanson and the words prep school have been in the same sentence since the QCIBT in December.
If Hanson and Martin come back to Central then the Little Green are the pre-season #1 next season. If either goes to prep and 1 comes back to Central then the LG are a Top 5 team. If both go prep then Central will struggle to get into the Top 8 next season and one would think Doc would give serious thought of riding off into the coaching sunset.
Of course there's always the factor of the Central coaching staff checking the flight logs in the next 5 months of 16 to 18 year old HS basketball players coming in from flights going from Florida to the Manchester airport
I've also heard recently the Trinity job has been opened up for applications "outside the Trinity family." This situation bears watching because speculation has run high for some high profile candidates to possibly be interested in the Trinity coaching position........ or the Trinity administration to possibly pursue some high profile candidates for their Varsity boy's coaching position.
It should be a fascinating off season in the Queen City for HS basketball.
