Re: D1 Playoff Bracket Contest - 2014
I'm just wondering why talk of the suspension of a player and the idiosyncrasies that go with it is on A playoff bracket thread??

Re: D1 Playoff Bracket Contest - 2014
It was actually sad to walk out of LancerVille knowing that was it for MY Lancers. There is no greater disappointment in the playoffs than the finality of the season or a career ending. Emotions and tears flow like a raging river in spring when the snow melts. On one side of the court I see harshness and cold hard reality of the end. On the other side of the court I see elation, smiles and the ecstasy of being alive for the next game. It's hard to see this sometimes, but in the end, it's THE HARD of the contest that makes it all worthwhile.

Re: D1 Playoff Bracket Contest - 2014
While the ending was disappointing I could not be prouder to call myself a member of Lancer Nation. This group went 45-15 between Hoops For Hope, Memorial Summer league, North Andover Fall Ball, Lowell Xmas Tournament, and NHIAA season. This was on the heels of losing your coach controversially, learning a completely new system under your new coach (phenomenal job by Nate Stanton), and coming back from major injuries. Though I have been busting T&Fs chops regarding his choice of outerwear I am sure he will join me in proudly proclaiming
--- We are Lancers
--- We are Lancers

T&F: Unless you want the cows chasing you around the floor at next year's Nashua Chick-Fil-A Holiday Hoop Tourney - you need to "eat mor chikin" or

Also do we need to ask the accounting firm of Seacoast Dad to make sure all your calculations have been added up properly...

Jaf, I'm very surprised you have questioned the integrity of this contest.
You have now been added to the list of paying people for the winner of this contest.
I'm contemplating ordering the following appetizer at the Chophouse before my Dry Aged Cowboy:
seafood tower
Lobster, shrimp, oysters, clams and crab lg/col $48/$80

Oh and SeacoastDad will be needed. His math expertise will be needed to figure out the bill and gratuity at The Chophouse once I get done realizing the fruits of my Playoff Bracket's labors

Re: D1 Playoff Bracket Contest - 2014
Hey - I'm lucky to be in 5th... I would have picked against BG in the first round if I hadn't gone with my
! Of course those (at least) 9 points may have cost me a sumptuous dinner... Never would have thought Memorial would beat Londonderry though. Having Merrimack win the semi was more because I thought they could beat the survivor of Trinity/Bedford. They certainly have become more than just Gendron this year and they play hard with a lot of heart/desire...
BTW: If you eat all the food you are considering ordering, then you may not be able to get up and down the court as quickly as you used to
Of course as we know it's all about being in the right position

Re: D1 Playoff Bracket Contest - 2014
Oh and we must have a toast to start off the evening to celebrate the season:
2003
DOM PERIGNON BRUT Champagne $175
And I figured the following wine would pair very nicely with my steak:
2009 Darioush cabernet sauvignon Napa Valley $176
As of now my tab is $451. SeacoastDad: What would be the gratuity?

Re: D1 Playoff Bracket Contest - 2014
I'm sure the service will be impeccable, so I think a tip of $90 would be in order. I think you should go with the bone-in filet, and order the New York strip to go. It will make a great sandwich the next day.

T@F I will gladly buy you lunch at my hooksett chinese spot
The Asian Breeze. Their bartenders are second to none. You will leave there thinking your as handsome as yours truly.
Our whole tab will be less then one of your high priced steaks.
Remember I already sprung for lunch with the regular season winner. YOU are supposed to buy the winner of this contest, so if you want a big expensive steak go buy one for yourself. Word on the street is your quite good at doing things by yourself.

I'm from a place way farther north. All I know is that I've heard great reviews from the place. Pocket bread with cheese that's the way to go
