Re: 2014 Boy's JV Tournament @ Memorial
Some observations on the tournament:
North has an extremely fast and skilled backcourt. They both had very good handles and knew when to kick the ball out or take it to the rack. The Titans also had a couple of Bigs who could run the floor nicely and score when needed. I was impressed with the way the Titans attacked on the offense end on a consistent basis.
Exeter had an impressive Big, who's a Frosh, Jake Randolph. He goes about 6'3-ish. He has a good frame and motor. He actually can shoot a 5 to 10 footer instead of hanging out around the 3 point arc which seems to be the comfort zone for about 98% of Bigs in NH presently. He'll definitely be a good addition to Coach Holmes' Varsity squad next season.
Winny has a 6'1-ish Frosh named Freddy Schaake. He was your veritable "Glue Guy" for the Warriors. He handles the ball, plays good D and scores within the flow of the offense. He has a good Bball IQ. I was also impressed with his makeup and sportsmanship. He rarely gets flustered and lets the game come to him instead of forcing himself upon the game.
