Jan. 30th Games

A light but interesting schedule tonight.  Four games listed on the NHIAA web site.  All could be competitive.

D1 - Salem (2-4) at Dover (1-8 )
D2 - Portsmouth (6-2) at Pembroke (9-0)
D3 - Somersworth (4-4) at Campbell (5-2)
D3 - Newfound (3-7) at Inter-Lakes (3-6)

Div. 3 - Newfound at Interlakes - This has always been a rivalry game with both schools near each other. There has been more than one game between these two that a fist fight between players has broken out in the past. I remember one game ended early in the 4th quarter after refs called it because of so much aggression between the two squads.

Portsmouth knocks Pembroke out of the ranks of the unbeaten, 53-49.

Nick Mackey was called for a holding foul, Welch responded with a knee to, in Mackey's words, "The marbles".   

My thoughts on the Portsmouth upset of Pembroke and the:


"Marble/Mid-Body incident"


that happened a smidgen of time after the opening tap..
