Prep Coverage Empty Prep Coverage

Post  EBlessNHSP on Fri Jan 04, 2013 1:06 am

I'm supposed to wait until I finish everything but I'm really excited about our prep coverage for 2013. I know the crowd here at NHSF is loyal to the NHIAA mainly because these are homegrown kids, but the amount of talent in New England is truly staggering when you start looking at the NEPSAC.

We're doing our best to coral statistics and scores and will be covering games here and there this season, focusing mainly on the NH teams for this year. Philips Exeter, Brewster and New Hampton have some of the more powerful teams within their respectful divisions this season and all of them should be fun to watch.

Additionally there's homegrown talent in the NEPSAC including Tyler Descoteaux (Trinity) at Marianapolis Prep, Kamahl Walker (Portsmouth) at Bridgeton, Curtis Arsenault (Berlin) at PEA and a slew of others doing post grads or who have been playing for private schools their entire careers.

Anyway, we've got the Division AAA and Division AA records up and on the site. We're working on A and should be done by the end of the weekend.

We'll be splitting out "overall" and "divisional" games in the future to get true standings (this is what NEPSAC does their tourney seedings off of, not overall as we have it now). Hope you enjoy the stats and standings and coverage we'll be providing. I'll make a more formal announcement on the site this weekend, but since this is where it all started for me, figured I'd break the news on the Forum.

EBless - How is Matt Barr (Exeter) doing at Cushing? I can't even find a roster on their school web site, never mind finding any stats. Thanks.

Cushing is along the Memorials of the world when it comes to providing info. I'm still working on the coach, hopefully they'll submit a few stats of high scorers etc. Would be neat to see how Kaleb Joseph and Barr are doing, 2 NH products.

I just read Kaleb is getting interest from Duke and Ohio State. Cushing beat Putnam Science last night and is still undefeated...

Paul Lazdowski covered Exeter/Andover for us yesterday. A couple of homegrown kids on the PEA team.
