Yahoo Dads
Thanks Pete and Dave for categorizing us this morning Thankfully not all of us hound the coaches about play time or have relationships with the coach that give the appearance to other parents that our children are getting preferential treatment.

Yahoo dads
HeyJAF,
I hope u r joking about being offended by me calling Greg Kretschmar from The Morning Buzz a "yahoo"' football dad during our radio chat with him today. As a father of 2 very young boys(2 & 4 years old) I can't wait to support my kids 100% when/if I am lucky enough to go to their high school sports games! That was the entire reason I asked Greg to come on the show...to talk about what it was like to have a kid that was part of a team playing for a Championship today...Greg is a friend of mine and his son Tyler is a senior offensive/defensive standout for Somersworth...and he definitely knows that i was poking fun at him and didn't mean anything bad and when I repeatedly called him a "yahoo". As a matter of fact, I said I'll probably be the one in my kids' coaches ear complaining about how much playing time the Tarrier boys are getting.

Re: Yahoo Dads
I wasn't offended - hence the smiley. I totally understood the context. It takes a bit more than that to offend me... Those of us that have "been there" will tell you it's a great time to watch you kids play HS sports (or be in the band or whatever floats their boat). It gets even better to watch them play college sports.

Cool, I just wasn't sure what that particular "emoticon" was. I thought it might be a smiley face, but u never know! I can't wait to enter Yahoo Dad Nation. Right now my biggest cheering surrounds potty training for the littlest one! The bigger one gets me on my feet cheering his stuffed animal floor football games.
