Remember 'the announcement'? Remember when Lebron said, "not 1, not 3, but 7 championships'. Well folks, I predict that they will not only win 7, but will be all in a row.

I don't see anybody beating them for a long time...name 1 team. Not that stupid unless another Lebron comes along.

I have to admit Lebron rubs me the wrong way like 98% of the other basketball fans in the country, but it was amazing to see him clamp down defensively on Rose in the last few minutes of the last 2 games. This was one of the biggest keys to the last 2 Heat victories. There were some possessions at the end of each game where Rose looked like he didn't feel like taking it to Lebron, but he was required to.

It's kind of scary to think of it from a Mavs perspective as to how they are going to deal with the 1-2 Dwade-Bron combo in the NBA finals.

Allow me to jump in on this. Bulls need a offensive mind on the bench to match their current defensive scheme. Add that to Howard coming to Chicago next year and baam! Chicago then has the best defensive team in the league by even more of an edge and the add a player that Miami cannot defend at the hoop. Miami is tough but they are beating a team in chicago that is severely limited offensively in the final minutes. Add Howard to that line up and the Bulls are the best team again. I also think it is hilarious that you guys are giving LeBron so much credit for stopping a player one on one when he is 4 inches taller and the team is in a 1-4 set. The scheme that they were in was the issue. The 1-4 set limits the one on one guy to a pull up jumper and with the size difference it was the perfect scenario. I hope Chicago is in that same scenario in Chicago and they do a better job of emptying the block to create a lane for Rose to create.

Add to that the impending drug situation taking the HGH away from LeBron and his moms impending relationship with a newly single Dwade.... anything can happen after all it is the NBA. lol

ChiKid

Ahh, yea.... 4 inches taller, 4 inches shorter or the same height Lebron is taking Rose out of the game in the last few minutes....ergo 2 Home Heat victories...... so, yes I will give Lebron credit for his defense on Rose.

Does anyone really care if Miami wins? The arrogance of those 3 individuals (hard to call them all players) is astounding. I find them more unpalatable than the Pistons when Lambier played.

Well, either way they will be fun to hate. I expect some great players at the end of their careers to rotate through this team over the years to get the ring. This team is gonna be real tough to de-throne. This year might be the best chance to beat them for a while, lets all just root for Dallas.

Start hating the Heat now folks. Empty Rose lost it for them period!!

Post  basketballtime Wed May 25, 2011 11:33 pm

Lebron did nothing it was rose's ego that took over and decided to play one on one basketball that never seems to work.Peirce does the same crap all the time along with many other idiots out there in the NBA. I have an idea for Rose pass the damn ball and get the defense moving to create a good shot. What kills me most about it is Rose did that twice!!! And by the way Chikid if you get a chance look at Dwades jawline from four years ago his whole skull has grown. I believe they call it Bonds syndrome.

Start hating the Heat now folks. Empty Not mad at Rose

Post  chicagokid43 Thu May 26, 2011 3:22 am

Really not mad at Rose and I think his ego is far more in check than either of the three of the heat. Rose dunks all over a a 6 foot 11 guy and calmly turns gives a couple hi fives to his team and goes to the foul line. Bosh<LeBron or Wade can make a layup and scream and yell like they just won the title. This team will be fun to hate no doubt they make it easy for the fans of players that show class and respect. The days of the David Robinsons and Joe Dumars are over. Now we are on to players that need to hot dog, showboat and try to humiliate their opponents. We are seeing this at lower levels every year from players standing over someone after a foul or a nice play to the screams and thats right MFer comments from morons like KG. I am close to turning the NBA off again because to me the basketball is not good enough to justify the stupidity you have to endure in the process.

I also remain confident that Rose was put in a situation where there was no movement off the ball and the two biggest help defenders were on the blocks. You cannot blame Rose for the bad shots you have to blame the coach for not giving him options.

Don't let your dislike of Queen James cloud the fact he is playing well in this series.... all hot dogging aside. I dislike him and his antics as much as the next basketball purist who grew up with Havlicek, Cowens, Jo Jo White, Bird etc around this 6 state area. I do know when to give credit though. As much as it pains me to say, the Queen is definitely playing well offensively and defensively and is starting to show why he is the "chosen one" either self granted or by others. I would go as far to say he is probably one of the 5 greatest athletes in the world right now.

As I like to say, "I am taking my medicine (painfully admitting LeBron is playing well and making a difference), swallowing hard and moving on."

Start hating the Heat now folks. Empty EGO

Post  basketballtime Thu May 26, 2011 10:15 am

His ego comes out in everytime he forces the situation and decides to take it upon himself to make the shot without getting the rest of the team involved. A true leader takes the lead and understands that he must get his whole team involved in order to win against the best of the best. You have seen it many times in the NBA Jordan had a really tough time until he learned he had to have a whole team concep to win it allt. You have even seen this issue with a few of the Olympic teams. By the way when you mentioned you were confident that Rose was put in that situation my question to you would be as the MVP and point guard and leader of his team did he have no decision making ability of his own? And for that matter making the same stupid mistake twice at the end of the game as everyone stood around watching? That does not win titles only an occasional highlight on ESPN's top ten plays of the week.

Start hating the Heat now folks. Empty Easy Answer

Post  chicagokid43 Thu May 26, 2011 7:00 pm

I think this is a scenario where the young player is still learning to lead while a new coach is still learning his offensive team. I remain defiant that it is his ego and more about the strategy that the coach drew up for him. Had the coach came out and had a designed set to get movement off of the ball while he tried to create I and he forced a shot I would be the first to call him out. However if you look at the play their is no movement off the ball at all. Add that to the size he was giving up going against a longer defender and the step back and pull up off the dribble was the only option.

Like i said earlier he did it not onc ebut twice even an NBA rookie shouldn't do that. And if Lebron decides to come out on Rose maybe just maybe Rose shouldn't use his ego and try again to take hiim on instead maybe he should use his brain and say hey Lebrons on me that means someone has a mismatch.

To much forcing in this game Rose can't try and do it all by himself and ended up paying the price at the end. pale

Bulls are still missing a player that can create his own offense to compliment Rose. With all the praise people are giving the Heat you need to realize how young Rose is and how limited they are offensively. Sure we can criticize the leader of the team for struggling for the Bulls late but they are one player away from winning that series with a very young roster. I think if your a Bulls fan you look at this season as growth and experience and you hit the market hard to add one more offensive guy to round out a team with youth, defensive skill and great rebounders. They are one player away from the finals.

I think they are one great player away from winning it next year. But i also think Rose could take a page out of another young guy named Rondo. Learn to distribute the ball and make your team better and he will win.

Rose all year and for most of the playoffs did make his team better. He was 3rd in the playoffs with 7.7 assists a game behind Rondo (has more scoring options) and Chris Paul who only played one series. He did this while being his only scoring option. He also was 10th in the Regular season also with 7.7. He's probably one of the most unselfish players in the league, this playoffs Boozer who was suppose to be his right hand man 2nd scoring option disappeared. Not to mention since this is more about the last shot last night they needed a 3 to win the game which Boozer is of no help, so his options are to either dish to Kyle Korver another who is not a go to scorer in this league or Loul who was up and down as he had the assignment of guarding Lebron. Not to mention last night and the game before even if Korver and Deng were playing well enough to hit a game winner or even hit some late shots to seal it the offense became very stagnant no movement. I don't think it's that he's unselfish at all, they just need a true scorer or a more reliable scorer.

As you well know the regular seaon and playoffs are a whole different beast. And i would be willing to bet that Rose still took the end of the game shot or end of the periord shot 99 percent of the time during regular season. You must have other players willing and wanting to take that shot during big moments in the playoffs other than Rose and that will only happen if you give them that opportunity enough during the regular season.

I agree that both post-season and reg. season are completely different just stating that in both he was in the top 10 of the league in assists (3 in the playoffs) Also agree with the fact that he most likely took 99% of the regular season game winners. But you said yourself you have to have people "willing and wanting" to take the game winner I don't know if I believe that anyone on the Bulls would've wanted anyone but D-Rose too be shooting. Also are any of those guys on the team capable of making a game winner? Yes every once in a while deng or korver will be clutch but they're not guys you feel confident in taking the game winner in back to back Eastern Finals game. It's not like the heat where Wade or Bosh is the second option, with Mike Miller as your 4th.. I think if the bulls add an offensive minded player next year they beat the Heat or atleast make it a better series. Seems like we'll have to agree to disagree, all I know for sure is GOOOO MAVS!
