Congrats to all the Clippers coaches, players, fans, parents and administration that were involved in their record setting 76 straight wins. Now lets hit 100 boys!

Here's a link to a story on ESPN Rise that lists the best winning streaks in HS Baseball history. Posted today, but before the Clippers victory.

Congrats to them. Having watched my son compete against them several times in the last couple of years they deserve it. Class act all around. They don't make mistakes and are very well coached. Kudos to them for putting NH baseball players on the map nationally.

Congratulations to the Portsmouth baseball program on a great accomplishment. I have seen a few games of each season over the past few years and the real start of this can be traced back to players like Chris Anderson, Ben Shopick, etc. Players who lead the way in the early years of the build-up of the current baseball program in Portsmouth. A large number of players who played or are currently playing in all levels college ball are also a tribute to the overall program that has been the engine of this feat. Another person who has to have a big grin on his face is Dave Hoyt from USA Training. His facility. staff and AAU program (Mavericks) have had a great influence on the success of Portsmouth baseball.

Congratulations to Tim Hopley for handling all this with great class and dignity, all the while keeping his players focused on the next game on the schedule. Now he may face the toughest challenge, with the record in hand they face rival St. Thomas next. STA came very close to ending the streak earlier this season losing 4-3.

Again Congratulations to ALL the players who suited up for the clippers in the past few years, their parents and the coaches.

espn's show 1st and ten had the portsmouth coach on the air today while they were showing highlights of the game. The coach came off as a class act. What a record, way to go.

Saw this article on Yahoo's HS affiliate, Rivals.

I'm sure it's been reported locally but interesting to note all the players that were on the Portsmouth Little League team that wen to the big tourney.

Also - apparently everybody outside NH thinks we're a big hockey state? I did not realize how good our hockey teams are. We obviously get no love for baseball which is probably our best talent producing of the major sports.

Unfortunately a small town from Iowa broke Portsmouth's record last night. I did notice they are 43-0 this season, so they play a few more games throughout their season...and they're still playing somehow. I guess. Their state tournament doesn't even begin till next week?
