A trifecta of good games today {weather permitting}
Keeping up with my derby week theme these are the 3 must see games in division one today.
WIN- Merrimack at Salem. I know Merrimack pitched their ace Damon on Monday, so I would imagine Poore against Hudon. Big game for both teams.
PLACE- North at Winnie. Turner has already pitched this week, so North travels into hostile territory with their number 2. I don't know much / anything about Winnie, but if they want to be talked about as possible contenders a win today would go a long way.
SHOW- Trinity at Memorial. No idea who is pitching in this one, but I have seen them both play and would not be shocked if they both went on a run towards the end of the seson. Abood is a solid coach, very solid.

Re: A trifecta of good games today {weather permitting}
Salem/Merri could be rematch of the Fall Woodbat League final where Hudon/Poore battled in a longgg game. I know at that point of the Fall Hudon was really pitching quite well. He'd had 3 or 4 really solid outings in the Showcase League fixing whatever mechanics dogged him early on.
Winni had a 1-0 win vs. Pinky on Monday. One would assume a pitcher's duel between two #1's... Not sure if Mellin is hurt following his slide into 3rd on Monday vs. Keene - looked like a knee from where I sat... So if Mellin cannot go and if the game is played, then North's pitching depth will be tested. Winni's pitcher's will also be tested against the North lineup...

Unfortunately, Jake did get hurt and will miss today's start. Matt Lipkind (junior) will take the hill for the Titans. Winnie will be tough, should be a good game, weather permitting. North v. South on Friday. Not sure who the projected starters are for that game. Weather should clear in time for that match-up.

Poore will not be starting for a week or two. He's battleing a sore back. He was pulled from the Andover game after 4 innings and then only faced a couple of batters against Timberlane. I still don't understand why they started him vs Timberlane instead of giving him the extra time off to get back to 100%. They'd better get him healthy if they want to advance deep in the playoffs. It's a shame not to see him pitch. Hopefully he'll be good to go soon.

Not for nothing but this has become a pretty darn good site when your looking for high school baseball info. Division one at least.

It's funny b/c I never really thought the baseball forum would take off - mainly b/c of the NE Baseball forum that is already running strong with NH influence. You guys and your contributions are what make this forum so good, across all the sports.

RE: Poore
That's too bad. They may have started him because it was in turn in the rotation, and although I don't know Poore at all, we know kids will downplay their injuries when they want to play.
North's game against Winnacunnet is postponed, no make-up date is published yet. This is North's 4th rainout. This Friday at 7 p.m. against Holman will be the "Battle of the Bridge" or whatever they call it when North and South oppose one another.
