Rich Shrigley is not mentioned a great deal when it comes to the best basketball players in NH high school history, but believe me, he's in the Top 10. I saw him play numerous times. He was the real deal..... Just solid in all aspects of the game. He went to the Elite 8 twice with BC. He had a nice career at BC. He was a solid role player for the Eagles.
All scandal aside at BC, which was revolting, Shrigley was and will be one of the best ever in NH high school basketball history.

Rich also played tight end for the football team as a fifth year student after his hoops eligibility was up. He was a member of the BC team, Qb'd by Doug Flutie that played in the 82 Tangerine Bowl.

Another foot note to Shrigley's HS athletic career..... although not a good one. He was a starter on the Nashua High baseball team in 1977. They played Trinity for the Class L state title at Gill Stadium. Trinity had Mike Lavallier, who played catcher for 11 years in MLB, mostly with the Pirates. The Trinity team also had many members of the Babe Ruth WS Ship team from 2 years previous.
Nashua had the game locked up. They were up by a run or 2 in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs. A drifting foul ball was hit by a Trinity batter on the first base side. Shrigley was the Nashua first baseman and he surely was going to catch the final out to give the Panthers the Ship. The ball glanced off his glove and fell to the Gill Stadium "real grass." Trinity went on to put together a series off hits and walks and got a walk off hit and won the 1977 Class L baseball Ship.

Love the history / trivia. One tiny correction: The Babe Ruth WS Ship team was from one year previous (1976), not two. Manchester was led by Mike Lavalliere (Trinity) and Chris Larose (West).

Chris Larose played in MLB for a bit. When he played in West LL one game he had a no hitter with 1 out left. The batter got a sharp single to spoil the no hit bid. The batter later became Mrs T & F
