All are welcome and appreciated - was Jeremy in the crowd?

No I wasn't but I will try to make it in next couple weeks. If I do there likely won't be an in depth recap. The folks who run the Riv league have said they don't want any media coverage.

Well, that's bad news. This means any Forum member that has posted about the Riv Fall League, who goes Trick or Treating this Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Rivier University, will get toothbrushes and pencils instead of Milky Ways and Almond Joys

I think the Riv just wants to avoid the circus. It's great they do this, seems to me the competition is at least similar to the one in Andover. Some of the teams are the same, except you have the good Manchester teams at the Riv, plus some small schools that are good. (for example Conant). Was told there were a lot of college coaches at the Riv last weekend watching the games.

Next week is the playoffs, don't know the matchups. Only some teams make playoffs in Riv league

Anyone have info, games or times??

Well, I could post the playoff schedule, but then by having extra clowns, jugglers and high wire acts attend the Fall League games, then.....

...... Wouldn't this be contributing to a Circus atmosphere down there?   jocolor Wink jocolor Laughing

Wow, looks like Clancy has joined the Circus Basketball jocolor

And to look ahead on Nov. 9th the semis and Ship will be:

@ Rivier:

8:30 am West/Lebanon winner vs Pembroke/Salem winner

9:30 am Merrimack/Lawrence winner vs Centrall/Bedford winner

10:30 am Ship

The Central - Bedford semi should be a good one. The West - Lebanon semi is intriguing.

Manchester area smorgasboard on Sunday, it was awesome

Goffstown lost but will be good in D2 good point guard, two big guys.

West ooh ugly game v Lebanon, Not sure if Lebanon is that good or West had a bad bad day. Seen Leb twice their point guard is special. West has a ton of talent, can they put it together? I bet they do and have a great season (Hey it's D2 now, much easier schedule)

Bedford will be really good, was a little surprised Central won.

Central, OK I'm buying Central and selling West Trinity (and Memorial?). Pejojo is correct, not just a Dad analysis, Play hard, hustle, smart. Really fun to watch. Doc will have this team in the Finals again. Love the way they play. lot of room for growth

What time do the games start on Sunday? 8 or 8:30???

Sounds like Salem Pembroke was a great game
Was Merrimack Lawrence close?

Pembroke led most of the game, up by 15 at one point but Salem battled their way back the last three minutes of the game and eventually took the lead. With 4 seconds left Salem was up by 3 and Timbas was fouled, he made the first free throw then intentionally missed the second which bounced off the rim and was immediately put back in by Curran for the tie one second before the buzzer. PA ended up winning by 6 or 7

Refreshing to know that the NHIAA isn't the only organization that makes odd schedules... Very Happy

The two teams coming from the furthest distance get the early morning game....

And then they sleepwalked through the entire game, boy what a difference a week could make. Did not look like the team I saw last week vs West

Pembroke shot lights out, buried them from deep early, never a contest 82-56. Max Curran looked like an NBA player out there.

But then Central stole the show.......

Central answered the bell... beat Lawrence in a good game...rested for a few minutes then put a hurting on Pembroke, 68-39, welcome to D1.
As I have said, Central will lose this year but they look pretty good as defending champs.

A surprise? Not sure, but a pretty serious stomping. Analysis? What were the keys? Central played D? That's not a surprise. Central ran? Central shot the ball well from the perimeter? Pembroke didn't play D? Pejojo, what gives. Throw me a bone, here.

Central still warm from the Lawrence game came out hot and shot the lights out. Hit fourteen 3 point field goals, more 3's than the ten 2 point field goals they made. Pembroke only hit four 3's. Three from Timbas and one from Taylor.

Hahahaha, too funny Bert54the1..here's the bone...saw Central play Lawrence, game very balanced as they are similar...strong guards and can shoot the three...Lawrence PG kept them in it really, getting in the paint at will...Central just had too much at the end for them...impressed with Lawrence though, short bench, played every possession hard, talked great on D...
Now the Pembroke game...got called during the warm-up for work and had to leave to Portsmouth, hahaha too funny...my wife filled me in with texts and I couldn't hardly believe the texts, 41-14 at one point...she was telling me we shot lights out...our 2 guard Jonathin was infuego...I kinda thought Central could at least play or even beat Pembroke because of Central's guard play...Pembroke is decent at the 1, 2 but not as good, and you can have all the height you want if your guards can't get them ball ? I had seen Pembroke several times and they just don't seem very intense, from the outside...maybe they are, just my opinion...I am excited to see how the regular season plays out...
