D1 Boys Final Standings Contest

Due to popular demand from last year the D1 Boy's final standings contest is back     

Just pick the final standings of all 20 teams in D1 Boys. The winner receives lunch courtesy of GNG......

The Forum member who picks the most correct teams in their final placement after the regular season is over will be the winner.


1st tiebreaker - Member who picks the most playoff teams in their correct order.

2nd tiebreaker - Member who picks the most Top 8 teams in their correct order.


Your entry is due by 7:00 pm on Tuesday Feb. 4th.

Last year was the first year the Forum ran this contest. Foxy Lady had an impressive victory. Foxy has been rather silent this season  


Maybe, Foxy will resurface to defend the Title

1. Manchester Central 18-0 - 2007 Patriots.
2. Trinity 17-1 - Hard to beat these guys twice in one year.
3. Merrimack 15-3 - Best defensive team, and the best player.
4. Bishop Guertin 15-3 - 2001 Rams, all offense but not enough defense in the playoffs.
5. Londonderry 14-4 - A team to watch in the years to come.
6. Nashua South 13-5 - Good coaching and a program that maximizes available talent.
7. Manchester Memorial 10-8 - If everyone could just be on the same page at the same time....
8. Winnacunnet 10-8 - Upset Alert! Biggest sleeper in the division.
9. Bedford 10-8 - 2007 New York Giants. Get hot at the right time.
10. Spaulding 9-9 - They play hard, they play hard, they play hard, etc.
11. Exeter 9-9 - Biggest disappointment of the division.
12. Pinkerton 6-10 - All based on the assumption that mono has ended the big man's season.
13. Salem 5-13 - Never say die team that is in rebuilding mode, beat the teams they are supposed to, except one.
14. Nashua North 5-13 - Takes more than one player.
15. Concord 5-13 - A promising start that fizzled out at the end, but returning to the playoffs is encouraging.
16. Alvirne 5-13 - A one year drop-off or a sign of things to come?
17. Timberlane 4-14 - Not a misprint.
18. Manchester West 3-15 - Division 2 where are you?
19. Dover 2-16 - Romps' blood pressure could use the break.
20. Keene 0-18 - So many miles, so many losses.

So I figured I would come out of retirement to put in the winning entry.  

Clarification- this is the 3rd annual. Foxylady won two years ago. Last years winner was a no show.

1 CENTRAL-  They run the table during the regular season.
2 BG- Gavin reminds me of Connor Greene. Armendola reminds me of Lunn. Boykins reminds me of me.{in my dreams}. Last six at home.
3 TRINITY- Would not be surprised to see the Pioneers defending their title in Durham.
4 MERRIMACK- Gasper should not be overlooked. He is the kid who usually gets in the oppositions best players head.
5 LONDONDERRY- Saw THE EDGE'S kid on TV. Seems like the type of kid I could root for.
6 SOUTH-  Not loving them'
7 EXETER-  T@F was touting them hard early. He jumped off this boat with his belly full of lobster rolls.. I am jumping on board { no food required}.Last time I was out with 3b's he picked up the tab. Any team with one of 3BUOYS boys on it is a team I am pullin for.

GNG - You're so long winded that you need another page for the remainder of your 13 teams.

8- WINNIE. No height good guards. Sound familiar.
9 BEDFORD. - Gettin ready to go on a run.
10 SPAULDING- Nowhere near the talent of recent Red Raider squads.
11 MEMORIAL- When I played for Quirk we used to practice defense ALOT. I don't know if he still practices defense, but they sure don't play ANY in their games.
12 WEST- do not, I repeat DO NOT sleep on this squad.
13 PINKERTON- MONO has this team dropping like a stone.
14 ALVIRNE- not impressed.
15 NORTH- see Alvirne.
16 CONCORD- see North.
17 SALEM- remember when the Windham kids went to Salem. That was when Salem used to be good. West knows how you feel.
18 DOVER- I thought there was nothing worse then Dover football. I was wrong, Dover hoops is pretty ugly.
19 KEENE- Thank God for TIMBY.
20 TIMBERLANE- Bosco, I love your username. Whenever I read one of your posts I am in the mood for chocolate milk. I also love your passion, but I find no evidence to think they will win a game this year.
